Overview of the Course

This unit UAPP2063 ADOLESCENT PSYCHOLOGY conveys the importance of studying adolescents, research findings, and practical applications to give a picture of adolescent’s developmental task in realistic, everyday contexts.

The objectives of this course are:

  • To expose students to the physical, cognitive, social and personality changes during adolescence
  • To introduce various theories of adolescent development
  • To gain understanding of the developmental task of adolescents

At the end of this course, students should be able to:

  • Discuss the physical, cognitive, social and personality changes during adolescence
  • Analyze various theories of adolescent development
  • Evaluate the developmental task of adolescents
